Karen Heath
Karen Heath is a Vermont educator who has worked with students from preschool through graduate school. She spend the first part of her career working with struggling middle and high school students in Boston and at The Maplehill School in Plainfield. Then she went to Barre City School where she taught English Language Arts to 3rd-6th graders. During this time, she was named 2005 Vermont Teacher of the Year. Karen currently serves as the district literacy specialist for the Barre Supervisory Union. She also serves on state-wide and national educational committees and boards. She teaches graduate courses and runs workshops on various literacy, assessment, and instructional topics.
