Vermont-NEA hosts the only ESP Conference in Vermont.  This year’s theme "Safe Schools For All" is a response to a growing number of issues in our schools from students coming to school who have experienced several traumatic events, to staff safety issues resulting from students who have difficulty controlling themselves, to students questioning their sexual identity, and so much more.  We hope that each ESP will look at the sessions (many full day) and determine what session will provide you with information and skills that will support a safer school environment for all.

This conference is for Vermont-NEA ESP members only.

Directions for Registering: If you have come to the ESP Conference in the past two years, you already have an account on Sched.com. Your login is your email. If this is your first ESP Conference, you will need to register for an account and select your sessions. Please note that there are both full day and half day sessions. If you select a full day session, please register for the morning and afternoon session. Once you select your sessions you will be all set. In this workshop we will explore the why and the how of restorative practices (rp). You can expect to participate in different types of Circles (an important component of rp). You will be guided through a "community building Circle" and a "Circle for repairing harm." We will touch upon restorative conferences and also try out some fun community building activities that can be used with different aged children in different sized groups.
